MSG Dustin Mesch
MSG Dustin Mesch joined the Army in June 2003 and completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA. His assignments include roles in the 82nd Airborne Division, 192nd Brigade at Fort Benning, GA, the 1st Battalion 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK, XVIII Airborne Corps Headquarters at Fort Bragg, NC, and currently the 1st Battalion 502D Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT).
Throughout his career, MSG Mesch has held every position from Rifleman to First Sergeant and has served in special duty positions such as Drill Sergeant and Senior Military Science Instructor. He has deployed six times, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Inherent Resolve, and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, as well as completing a rotation for Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Logistics Management, and completion of various military courses, including Airborne, Air Assault, Pathfinder, Jumpmaster, and Master Resilience Trainer courses, as well as leadership and instructor training.
MSG Mesch's awards and decorations include the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medals, and numerous campaign and service ribbons. He is also a member of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and the Order of Saint Maurice and has been awarded foreign jump wings from Thailand, Britain, Australia, Canada, Colombia, and Poland, as well as the Golden German Proficiency Badge.
MSG Mesch is married to Amanda Mesch from Columbus, OH, and they have three children: Anthony, Bennett, and Gabriella.
