Rutgers Army ROTC cadets are Scarlet Knights first!
Students who want to join the Army ROTC Scarlet Knight Battalion must first be accepted to Rutgers University at New Brunswick campus. If you are planning to attend Rutgers at Newark, your Army ROTC program will be hosted by Seton Hall University. If you are planning to attend Rutgers at Camden, your Army ROTC program will be hosted by Princeton University.

Requirements
- Be a US citizen
- Be between the ages of 17 and 34 in the year you are commissioned, unless you are granted a waiver
- College GPA of at least 2.50
- Be medically qualified
- Pass the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) with a minimum score of 60 in each event, for a total of 360 for all six events
- Agree to serve in the Army on active duty or in a Reserve Component upon graduation

Transferring To Rutgers University?
If transferring to Rutgers University, you can still join Army ROTC. Transfer admissions require 24 graded semester hours of transferable coursework with a minimum grade point ratio of 2.50 in order to be eligible for review. Transfer students are admitted to a specific major and are required to follow the curriculum of that major. Your transferable coursework should be in the degree track for the major you designate on your application.
